The restoration of the Tündern windmill begins. The scaffolding is up and work on the building has started.

The Schedule

The restoration runs in several phases:

  • July 2025: Scaffold the mill
  • Remove the old plaster
  • Repair damaged masonry
  • September 2025: Apply new plaster and fresh paint
  • March 2026: Install the new sails

The restoration is made possible by the EU, the German Foundation for Monument Protection, the City of Hameln and the Hameln-Pyrmont District.
