Our Mission
A monument meant to work again
We are a community of heritage preservationists, craftsmen, and mill enthusiasts. We work to preserve the Tündern Windmill. Built in 1883, it is one of the last witnesses of traditional milling craftsmanship in our region.

Restoration
Renovation and restoration of the Tündern Windmill, 2025 to 2026
The Plan
- Commissioning an expert assessment of the scope and costs of the necessary work
- Funding applications to potential grant providers
- Tendering of construction work and quotations
- Quotation for the replacement of the mill sails
How It Went
- Removal of the old sails late June/early July 2025
- Scaffolding of the windmill in July 2025
- Removal of the old plaster
- Repair of damaged areas in the masonry
- Application of new plaster from September 2025
- Renewal of the paintwork
- Installation of the new sails in March 2026
